Yardies Take on the Mobile Area Business Expo!

Last Thursday was a whirlwind for the Yard! Last week, we had the opportunity to represent and promote Container Yard at the Mobile Area Chamber of Commerce Business Expo. According to the Mobile Chamber of Commerce website, the Business Expo is "...the Mobile area’s largest business-to-business trade show, featuring local companies showcasing the latest products and services, along with business resources, giveaways, food & beverage samples and more!”

We did not want to keep all the fun to ourselves of course. We jumped at the chance to invite our members (aka Yardies) to come with us to promote their business and network with other businesses in the area.

Yardie Marlen Romero said, "I loved everything about the expo, oh, it was wonderful. Getting to network and learn about businesses in the area is great. The diversity amongst businesses here is great!"

We gave out Container Yard branded pencils and pouches to people who stopped at our table. Each pouch was filled with some of our members business cards. Julie Watson, a longtime Yardie, said that someone saw her card in one of those pouches and later contacted her with a business opportunity. She added, "I am always grateful to help out Container Yard at the Expo every year! It was also really great to see people I have not seen in about 2 or 3 years now. Learning about new and upcoming businesses in the Mobile area is wonderful to see."

We were excited to premiere our new promotional video that was created by Yard members SunHawk Media at the Expo. "The expo was great this year! Mobile's business community is thriving and the people making it happen are an inspiration!" said SunHawk Media's Founder and Executive Producer, Jakob Johnson.

After the Expo, we wanted to keep the party going! Members and friends were invited to come back to Container Yard to celebrate a successful day with a fun filled Happy Hour. We are already looking forward to participating again next year!
